Lets see some sexy engine block porn.
This one is my co-worker's boyfriends. It revs to 9000!!!
Actually I'm pretty sure it's the 2.2 liter and only revs to 8200, I just wanted to use the gif. Oh, and I wanted to share this review because it's is quite possibly the most entertaining S2000 review on the planet.
But seriously, lets see some engine block porn! Bonus Oppo Points* if you took the photo yourself!
*POD has no ability to award Oppo Points and can not be held liable for lack of Oppo Points being issued.

I, for one, greatly prefer superchargers over turbochargers. That's a damn sexy block.

Drool worthy. I really love seeing exposed timing belts and cam cogs. Nice cool air intake too.

Timing belt. Grr.
But..wow. Such pretty. So look good.
I am conflicted.

How about a RB30?

I can't take too much credit for it since I bought it after the swap/tuck, but yeah it's the main reason why I bought it

I still have a ways to go until I am happy with how my engine bay looks. Its a bit dirty, the coil covers look like shit, and the stock cobra intake tube fits like crap.
This is my friends just finished marauder, I'll get some not shitty photos of the new setup next weekend

That's a VERY clean Volvo... is that a B234?

That is a massive, angry, Hemi.

B230/B234 Hybrid. It's a little dirtier now since this was with 0 miles on the swap but it was really well done.

Keith Black engines tend to be rather angry :)

I didn't mean clean as in not dirty, but rather as in a very tidy bay. I bet that thing sounds glorious.

I've had fit issues with the SRI intake on my car as well. I plan to go through the bay next summer and adjust everything to get it to sit and look right.
The CF inlet tube and stainless heat shield on your friends car is stunning.

The intake bark is a lot of fun :D

Not as good looking, but impressive. I'll take it.

I really like this one. I'm a sucker for turbo noise.

Looks like a COBB intake and exposed timing belt. Sexy.

I bet it is, you must make a video of it :) I miss my Mk2 Golf GTi 16v, it had a 2.0 block and a KR 16v top (that is, the block was from a Mk3 GTi and the top from the first version of the Mk2 GTi 16v) with Shrick cams (276's I think), with a KN filter and a 2.5" exhaust it sounded mean as hell, and I imagine that thing sounds pretty similar :)
Something like this.. sorry couldn't find a video with just the bark :(

Rumbles like an angry bear, howls like a banshee and chirps like a bird ;P What's NOT to like...

Its real carbon fiber, IIRC they were made by Metco years ago and cost somewhere around 3-500 dollars just for the tube. Not many people have those. I just had a regular JLT CAI on my car when I was still N/A, but that intake won't fit my blower since the intake is now on the opposite side of the engine bay

A Volvo 242 that looks like that?
Let me know if you're ever selling it.

I've only owned it for 2 months. But if I ever decide to sell it, oppo will be the first place I go.

Where did you find it? that's probably the nicest example...ever.

Local craigslist believe it or not. It doesn't look as great now, this pic is from 0 miles on the build. It doesn't look quite as great now, a bunch of the paint has chipped off the brake booster and the fuel rail, and the paint doesn't match the body very well.
Here's the thread from when I bought it:
http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/new-old-car-19…
And from when I found it on CL:
http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/npocp-1978-vol…
Basically it was a bizarre lucky find. I've barely had a chance to drive it though since I'm on the road so much and it doesn't have a steering wheel attached right now. (Installing a horn so it'll pass inspection)

Oh man, that's ridiculously cool. Even better that it was built by a real person with real knowledge, rather than the typical Craiglist, "I DIYed it in my garage" job. May it run happily and heartily forever as a result of this.

Yes, the entire car was completely stock. I was pleasantly surprised to find it in very original condition.
